Yamagawa Japanese Restaurant

Tatami Room

Shoes at the door. Everything else, traditional.

A private, low-seated room for eight — the most traditional way to sit down at Yamagawa.

Traditional low seating in Yamagawa's private tatami room

Set apart from the main dining room, Yamagawa's tatami room offers traditional Japanese low seating for eight guests — shoes left at the door, in the manner of a Kyoto ryokan rather than a Singapore shopping mall.

It's a private space, closed off from the main floor, making it a natural fit for family celebrations, milestone dinners, or a business meeting that calls for a quieter register than the main room.

The full a-la-carte and teppanyaki menu is available in the tatami room, along with set menus for groups on request.
