Yamagawa Japanese Restaurant

Teppanyaki Theatre

Two griddles, cooked in front of you.

The centrepiece of Yamagawa's dining room since 1993 — grilled tableside, no pass window, no reheating.

Two teppanyaki griddles anchor Yamagawa's dining room, each seating eight guests around the theatre of the grill. It's the format we opened with in 1993, and the one guests still request most.

Marbled wagyu, seafood and seasonal vegetables are grilled to order — timed, seasoned and plated in front of you, with garlic rice and a choice of tare or wasabi-soy to finish.

It's equally suited to a table of two or a full eight-seat griddle booked out for a celebration — ask about reserving a whole griddle for private groups.
